Credit rating? What credit rating?

News came this week that Standard and Poors had taken the action of lowering Greece's credit rating from a B to a CCC. That now puts the nation in the position of having the lowest rating in Europe, in fact in the world.

Good old Socialism

The interesting part of that is that it was mentioned in passing that there was another nation which was in danger of being in worse shape than Greece. That nation is the United States of America. The reason? To much excessive spending and borrowing the money to cover the spending as the U.S. is broke. It has been broke for some time.

Greece has been following the same pattern, their Socialist leaders being certain they have had everything under control and just be patient. Even though we are trying to implement austerity measures, the sun will rise and the birds will sing and we ourselves will hold hands and sing songs to our brave progressive land. This all of course has led to a people far to used to living under the umbrella of a Nanny State. Once you start to lose it and suddenly there are no funds for all the Socialist programs, then come the withdrawals. Then comes the rioting in the streets. My God you mean we can't retire at 25 now?

The sad truth is we ourselves are falling into this same pattern. We have an administration and leaders who are just having marvelous fun at the mint printing more and more cash. Of course we are supposed to forget and ignore all those old warnings that when you print money you devalue it. It's only money after all right? Greece did this also, and raised their debt ceiling time and again. Now they are where?

We can still change things. About a year and a half if we hang on we can get the reins back and hopefully some responsible leadership. I grew up through the sixties and seventies and never once imagined that these sort of policies and ideologies would take hold in the greatest nation in the world. Now here it is. The progressives in OUR nation say oh we just need a little more time, another four years.

Time to look at it and ask yourself: Am I better off than I was three years ago? Are there less or more people unemployed? Why should we need to raise the debt ceiling if there has been a great turnaround in the economy, as the Democratic chairman maintains?

Democrats: Why is Guantanamo Bay still open? Why are there still any troops in the Middle East? Why don't you have your single-payer health care system instead of a health care law that surely will be deemed unconstitutional and thereby null and void?

Why will you vote for Barack Obama again?

Greece is the word. Think about these things.

Good Night.
